To Live an Environment proposes a reflection on dwelling understood as a relationship between space, artworks, and lived experience. The exhibition brings together six contemporary artists Luca Gilli, Michele Guido, Marco Andrea Magni, Elena Modorati, Luca Pancrazzi, and Elisabeth Scherffig, invited to engage with the environments of Casa Gregotti, a private home gallery in the heart of Milan. Their works also enter into dialogue with a selection of pieces by Giorgio Morandi, Antonio Sant’Elia, and Mario Sironi, broadening the comparison between different visions of dwelling and space.

Far from the neutrality of the white cube, the exhibition unfolds within a historically charged domestic setting, where architecture, furnishings, and memory become an integral part of the experience. Paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures, and installations are placed throughout the various rooms of the house, establishing a dialogue that is both close-knit and carefully measured.
