PROJECT
Art at home.
By Invitation, unhurried, creating connections and lasting memories.
Our idea is simple: art is best experienced in the intimacy of the home rather than in the coldness of a white cube. Artworks on the walls of a home shorten distances and immediately become something more familiar.
Founded by Maria Gregotti and accessible by invitation, our private home gallery It is an intimate space where the focus is solely on the relationship between people and artistic research.
Here, contemporary artists enter into dialogue with the history of our collection and with the art of the XX century.
A space dedicated to collectors and to those who want to approach art with authentic passion. To allow time for conversations that don't find space elsewhere.
A gallery in an apartment in the heart of Milan.
Casa Gregotti is the Milanese residence of the collector Quinto Gregotti, located just in front of Giovanni Muzio’s iconic Ca’ Brutta. The house is part of that urban fragment that reflects Milan’s transition toward modernity.
Within the domestic space of the apartment building, 1960s modernism gives shape to a bourgeois apartment, the spatial design of which Quinto developed with the help of his nephew Vittorio. The result is a welcoming microcosm, now adapted for contemporary collectors.
For Quinto Gregotti, art was a living presence, an integral part of daily life, never merely decoration. The recent conservation restoration has thus restored the house to its natural display vocation.
Today, under the direction of Maria Gregotti, Casa Gregotti continues this legacy as a private home gallery dedicated to modern and contemporary art, where collecting, research, and connection come together in an intimate and authentic setting.
Maria Gregotti
As the great-granddaughter of Quinto Gregotti, Maria carries on his legacy, which is rooted in a dedication to collecting and a love of culture. Having grown up in an environment rich with artistic exchange, she launched the Casa Gregotti project to carry on this family tradition.
Her vision aims to bring different eras together through innovative exhibition methods, in a setting that draws young people closer to the art market. With Casa Gregotti, Maria has created a space for dialogue for those who love artistic exploration, in an intimate setting where the encounter with the artwork recovers its most private and profound nature.
