Curated by Carlo McCormick in collaboration with Edoardo Falcioni and Maria Gregotti, the exhibition “Visions in Motion – Graffiti and Echoes of Futurism” explores for the first time the link between Italian Futurism and American Graffiti, two key movements of the 20th century. For the Futurists, the future was a celebration of the Belle Époque and progress, while for graffiti artists it represented a desire for emancipation and the hope for a better future. Both interpreted the future as a continuous flow, in which the creative gesture becomes a testimony of its own time.
